With over 30 years experience working with individuals and families, I have witnessed the amazing transformative effects a nurturing therapeutic relationship can provide. My integrative approach for psychotherapy allows me to work in highly effective ways with many different issues. I utilize a psychodynamic approach to therapy and offer an array of clinical interventions tailored to each client’s needs.
In addition to private practice, my career has included 14 years at the University of Kentucky providing counseling services to individuals with life-threatening illnesses and/or traumas, the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood Development, The Administrative Office of the Courts as a Family Court Specialist, served as a supervisor of the Foster Care Review Board Program and worked as a Child Protection Worker, investigating child abuse and neglect. I also served as an adjunct professor at Eastern Kentucky University in the Social Work Department.
